This school is one of a kind; a middle school that truly fosters belonging, curiosity and resilience. The school directors have a commitment to their student's success that eclipses anything that I have ever seen in schools.
My son has grown so much in his time here. His Math skills have dramatically improved and he wakes up everyday excited to go to school. Read that last sentence again. It is entirely true. I have a teenage son who wakes up everyday excited to be in school. That is because NSI has created a space that nurtures student interest while teaching each kiddo that we all have special talents. This is truly an incredible school and my son and our family are better for having found it!
I am immensely happy that we found NVSI for our son. He is a wonderful child, but has a few challenges when presented with the standard learning curriculum and environment found in most of the large, public junior high schools available in Las Vegas.
Christina and Eric are fantastic educators and wonderful people. I definitely feel that my son would have fallen through the cracks in a standard institution, but at NVSI he has been nurtured, supported and developed beyond my wildest hopes. The hands on approach and unique learning structure offered really seems to have had a positive and lasting impact on my son. He has never wanted to go to school as avidly as he has since enrolling at NVSI. The change in attitude is amazing.
I would recommend this school for any child. The cost is also very economical compared to other private schools in the area. That is not to say that NVSI is not a commitment for both the parents and the student, but it is absolutely worth the investment 100%.
Nevada School of Inquiry is an outstanding supportive, positive, caring environment for middle school children. My children have thrived with the support of this school in ways I could never have expected. My son who had internalized the view of himself as the class clown or difficult kid in prior schools has developed a confidence in his intelligence and in his goodness with the support at NVSI. Christina and Eric truly care about each and every student and care about them developing as well rounded human beings, not just getting test scores. I highly recommend this school to anyone who wants their child to love school.
Finally a middle school that cares about their students well being as much as they care about their education. NVSI was created by Eric and Christina Threeton, former administrators and long time educators in Las Vegas. They designed Nevada School of Inquiry for kids to thrive in a small, nurturing environment to prepare them for high school and beyond. They created their instructional units to include taking the kids on educational learning experiences, at least once a month, where students are able to gain meaningful experiences about the world around them and bring the content to life. We are so grateful for NVSI! My son is in 7th grade at NVSI, and it has been an amazing experience. He is truly excited to go to school each morning. Not only is the school helping him to grow academically, he is growing socially as well. I am thrilled that NVSI creates a plan for his education that is tailored to meet him where he is and helps him to achieve the goals he needs to get where he wants to be. This private, non-profit middle school is filling a critical need and option for parents looking for a small, intimate school setting that fosters personal growth and development. Many kids often begin to lose their spark for learning in these formative years, which was a concern for my child. I watched over the past year my soon lose interest in school and learning. Since attending NVSI, I’ve noticed that spark reignite and he is actually excited to go to school and do well. I’m glad that we found a school that is nurturing his desire to learn and giving him a safe, comfortable place to thrive.

This is truly an incredible school! My daughter struggled with learning loss from the pandemic and didn’t do well in online school. The education she is receiving here has helped close that gap and she is so excited to go to school every day. They genuinely care about their students and positive outcomes for the whole child.
I love attending the Nevada School of Inquiry. Eric and Christina have transformed the middle school experience into something extraordinary. They're like a second set of parents to me and I can't imagine life without them. They make learning enjoyable and exciting. It feels like a family here and I wish they taught high school too. They prepare us well for the next level and their love and care set them apart.
