Mission: The nevada association for the education of young children promotes high-quality early learning for all children, birth through age 8, by connecting practice, policy, and research. We advance a diverse, dynamic early childhood profession and support all who care for, educate, and work on behalf of young children.
Programs: The nevada association for the education of young children provides training,leadership workshops and conferences for professionals in the early childhood and lower elementary education fields. There were over 450 attendees at the state conference. T. E. A. C. H. (teacher education and compensation helps) early childhood nevada provides comprehensive scholarships to child care providers. T. E. A. C. H. Scholarships include tuition, books, paid time off from work, travel stipends, bonus' and wage increases as providers complete course work in early childhood education leading towards the attainment of a degree in early childhood education. During this fiscal year, 92 receipients received t. E. A. C. H. Nevada scholarships. Scholarship goals include: increased education and compensation for scholarship recipients, and decreased turnover rate for participating child care programs. Our membership in the national association for the education of young children promotes the standards and goals of our organization. Donations are received to support general membership.
