Network is a great nonprofit organization. They really care for you at Network and do everything in their power to get you to where you need to be. I was recently released from Bedford hills on May 25 2023 after serving a 5 year sentence and when I walked out the prison it was Network that was there to pick me up and if they didn't I would not even know where I would be today. Network inspired me to live my life positively and to give back to my community. Network helped me get out of the shelter and into a better hosting situation and helped me find employment also with the help of Network I am currently enrolled at eoc through John Jay College getting my get. A have achieved so much in the 4 months that I have been out of prison and all of it was because I had Network to guide me in the right direction tion and teach me self discipline. I am truly grateful that a program like Network exists and I am truly grateful that the people that work at Network actually care and go to great lengths to make sure you get all you need.
Network Support Services, Inc. Is such a gem and and a unique service. The dedication of this team is unparalleled. It's very rare to find a solid group of people who are willing to advocate and support people who has been disowned by society just because they were incarcerated. They model everything they promote!
Network Support Services is one of the only actual reentry program organizations to exist inside the prisons to bring community programming to the population there, as well as continue their transformational work by supporting its participants upon coming home. Network Support Services is a crucially needed organization bringing crucially needed services to an underserved population having an amazing impact in New York State prisons and communities where people are returning to after their incarceration.
I was part of Network Community while incarcerated as a participant in this therapeutic community back in 2001-2004. After my release I joined the community and after completing parole supervision I went back as Civilian Trainer. Currently I work for a national civil rights organization unique as a Latinx-led, legal defense and education fund doing criminal justice reform work. The experience and time I spent with Network will always be part of the labor of love I continue.
I have witnessed the transformation of Network participants. They come in as individuals, and emerge from the program as leaders and members of a community where each person matters.
As a member of this organization, even while in prison, I have seen effective changes with/in my community that reflect the values of responsible living. For 2 years and counting, I abide by that same sense of determination and achievement that I found long before I was released from prison… to be a source of support and not a invalid detriment to the world at large.
my experience with Network has been very helpful I have overcoming challenges in my personal life with Network and their amazing staff. Network has given me and my family hope for a better future and has helped me in tremendous ways. I will continue to recommend Network to anyone that cross my path because I believe and I am a witness that Network can help.
My experience with Network Support Services was so great - I became a board member! This truly is a grass roots organization- the money goes straight to the programs to make a difference for the men and women served. And, the proof is in the pudding - Network has a sustained 8% or lower recidivism rate compared to 40% in New York State. I am proud to contribute my time, talent and treasure to such good work!
