I've been involved with the Network for Responsible Public Policy as both a volunteer and an audience member. The organization provides programming on a wide range of public policy issues that is accessible, factual, fascinating, and trustworthy. It connects today's leading thinkers with the community--a remarkable feat on its own--and encourages the deepest level of questioning and engagement. The goal is to give people the information they need to fully participate in our democracy, and I can think of no higher cause. Too many media outlets today inundate us with questionable information, spin, and outright lies. This makes NFRPP programming more essential now than ever.

I've been attending NFRPP events since 2010. I'm a regular because NFRPP provides me with information and community that I find nowhere else. I've had the opportunity to hear thoughtful, profound, well-researched ideas from some of the most exciting policy thinkers today. And to participate in the larger conversation around the issues that really matter. This is the kind of opportunity I would expect to find only at a top university, but it's available to me near my home, for free.

Great topics and speakers. I learn so much at every event! I am particularly pleased with the nonpartisan, respectful tone of the discussions. The audience asks good questions and the conversations are a lively and engaging. I can't think of another forum that makes it so easy to learn about the issues that impact me and my family.

I was looking for a way to manage the endless flow of information I was seeing and understand the various perspectives I came across - many on opposing sides of the issues. I found the NFRPP to be truly non-partisan and offer expert discussions on the most pressing issues in public policy. As an educational network the NFRPP lives up to its name. The caliber of the discussions never fails to impress me and leaves me far better informed. My involvement in the NFRPP is my personal contribution to civic engagement in a respectful, open-minded way. Informed decision making is the only way our democratic institutions can survive, no matter what your political views are.

The Network for Responsible Public Policy, run by volunteers, is a non-partisan group dedicated to keeping the public informed about issues of importance in the public sphere. At the discussion there is a speaker or panel of speakers who are experts (educators, authors, activists) on the subject being discussed. The audience is invited to participate in a Q & A after the talk. One of the first programs that I attended, years ago, was a program led by newspaper reporters and editors on "how to read a newspaper." I was surprised at the topic at the time, but subsequent events and "fake news" have revealed how intelligent and far-sighted the leadership of this group is. Other memorable subjects discussed were gun laws, gerrymandering and big money in politics. NFRPP is an important organization which deserves the support of those who value an informed electorate.

NFRPP does all the heavy lifting to bring insightful and thought provoking speakers together to discuss issues that effect us all. I usually take tons of notes at each event and, like a disciple, share what I have learned to engage others in the issues. NFRRP makes me feel well educated with multiple sides explored to help break down complex topics. The people who attend ask great questions and NFRPP always encourages dialog. And, when I cannot get to the live event, I can always see the video on their site. My local League of Women Voters financially supports this very important organization.

Network for Responsible Public Policy does an amazing job creating public forums and events with subject matter experts. Every time I attend an educational event put together by NFRPP, I come away with more knowledge on topics I care about, and more equipped with spreading that knowledge with others. Organizations like NFRPP are so needed because they truly provide a service to help responsibly and reliably educate the public about important matters at a time when communities are hesitant about where they get their information.

I started out with NFRPP as part of my work study program and stayed on as a volunteer. NFRPP has taught me to understand and appreciate different view points and see the bigger picture. The speakers they bring in are experts in their fields and have an abundance of knowledge that they share with us. This is truly a great nonprofit.

The Network for Responsible Public Policy (nfrpp.org) is a Godsend in today's environment of facts without context, misinformation, half-truths and deliberate lies. At least once a month, NFRPP hosts informative presentations on topics of current interest with authoritative, well-researched and lively speakers. Presentations are balanced with plenty of opportunity for audience Q&A. You leave the presentations feeling well-informed and able to discern fact from fiction.

This organization avoids the politicization of current events and national issues and focuses on presenting speakers who provide factual information without the political cheer leading too common these days. The organization is headed up by unpaid volunteers who work extremely hard to organize these speaking events and the country is in need of more programs like this one.

The Network for Responsible Public Policy serves the public in so many ways. They offer non-partisan talks on important and often confusing issues. These talks get to the heart of the matter in an era of modern spin and media maelstroms. The NFRRP is simply committed to educating the public. Here, speakers who are experts in their fields, educate and inform so that attendees can make educated and grounded decision that matter most to them. If it is a talk on the constitution, then the NFRRP gets scholars on the constitution. This is true for all topics: prison reform, environment or gerrymandering, among many others. These are not hysterical talking heads with a political agenda, but experts who know the details and can get to the facts. After attending an NFRRP event, everyone is more elevated on the matters at hand. FACTS MATTER. That should really be the name of this organization because it is the back bone of its mission. They offer these programs at no cost and they need to be recognized for providing a crucial service to their fellow citizens especially in these very polarized times.

For over 10 years I have very much benefited from the NFRPP provision of balanced and authoritative information from a variety of well-qualified speakers on current public policy matters of national importance. Such subjects as climate change, gun control, national financial matters, the American Constitution, lobbying, voting rights and other such subjects have been presented for over two hours followed by responses to questions.

The live presentations are conducted in front of audiences and are taped and eventually uploaded to the Internet on YouTube. The organization has been able to present such speakers as Nobel Prize winner Stiglitz, and authoritative national public policy advocates such as Lawrence Lessig and Kevin Trenberth. Except for defraying some of their expenses all of the speakers have participated without charge.

Cooperating colleges and universities have provided free meeting space in the meetings have been managed quite nicely by enthusiastic volunteers. All of this has been accomplished with donated funds from the public without any of those funds being paid to staff.

My daughter is an intern for the NFRPP & I was happy to support her & attend an event. There was a discussion on Gerrymandering & Voter Fraud which was truly informative. I learned so much that evening as I really didn't know much about Gerrymandering at all. I've heard the word but never really understood its meaning & the impact it has. I was thankful the audience had great questions to further the discussion. The Voter Fraud discussion was truly educational, as well, given my knowledge of the subject was based mostly on what the media has reported. I left the event with confidence that I can discuss both of those subjects with more facts & information that I didn't have before & was very thankful for the opportunity to learn it through the NFRPP. I also receive the newsletter which I always look forward to reading. Can't wait to attend my next event!

Great way to get credible reliable information on hot public policy issues at NFRPP programs. They have speakers who are nationally recognized thought leaders, distinguished experts in their field. Getting such information helps mitigate the polarization that is creating havoc in our political environment and undermining democracy. Three cheers for NFRPP.

The NFRPP is exactly what our democracy needs right now. It is a non-partisan organization actually trying to bring accurate information to American citizens on policy topics we need to know more about. It makeups up for the lack of factual information in our country. Every time i attend i walk out thankful for their work and with a whole new perspective on important information. When political conversations arise or I am given new assignments with my courses i feel well prepped and able to contribute to better conversation about the state of our country.

I've worked with NFRPP to bring knowledgeable speakers to the public on the important issues we face today. The goal of NFRPP is to provide the public with the facts and information it needs to make intelligent decisions. The organization is non-partisan, focused only on providing evidence based material for decision makers and voters. Speakers have included Nobel laureates, distinguished academics, policy makers and persons deeply involved in the issues of our day. Given the proliferation of bad and misleading information around the world, doing this is more important than ever.

NFRPP gets its audience focused on policy issues of today. Whether it is getting Gun Activists and NRA Supporters in the same room discussing the value of gun safety regulations, or top experts explaining the role of powerful, wealthy donors in our elections on the quality or our representative government NFRPP always gets it's audience quality, factual information> NRPP's programs engage our citizens and inspire them to have dialogues with their family and friends on the important issues of our day.

NFRPP is a great organization with that provides a valuable service in providing non-partisan, factual lectures on important public policy topics. Today, we are inundated with so much partisan news with pundits arguing over each other on major networks, and our politicians representing their party bias more than the public needs. It is difficult to make sense of what is true based anymore. NFRPP offers its members the environment to hear major thought leaders objectively talk about the issues, and to engage the audience directly on questions they might have. It's refreshing to get information about public policy free of all the external noise.
