Kultrun World Music Festival produced by Neruda Arts is one of the best events of the summer! This is my second time attending and both times I've enjoyed the musicians, artists, artisans, and the sense of community that this life and love affirming festival, presenting world class bands, brings to St. Jacobs.
I was at the Festival the 3 days. The music, the sound, the friendship, the food and coffee! I spend there so many hours of good music and good vibes. Really want to come back next year. Also St Jacobs is a lovely place, perfect for a little pause of the big Toronto. Thanks Kultrun!!!
Ps.: I love the african band. I almost die of hapiness.
Where can you see a "woman-orchestra" marching and dancing to her own big drum beat? Neruda Arts! A marvellous creator of concerts and experiences, experts in world-music from all corners of the world, and a great organization!
Neruda Arts and Isabel Cisterna's work builds much-needed bridges amongst different cultures in the community through music, dance, theatre, and visual arts. Since 2016 we have attended the Kultrún Festival a free live music program presenting artists from all over the world, and followed their theatre programs, free classes, and free art workshops that represent the diversity of the Waterloo Region. These events focus on promoting marginalized, indigenous, multicultural, and female performers and are heart-touching and pertinent at this moment in the world.
I have been lucky enough to be part of the festivals and concerts Neruda has produced over the years and am always amazed by the care professionalism and passion by Isabel and her team. Neruda curates shows from a place of deep passion for culture and the arts and never waivers from its vision to showcase diverse artists. Neruda has overcome so many obstacles and sustained itself from Its commitment to its founder’s vision and determination to showcase music and art that pushes boundaries and builds community. Thank you for all you do!
I've followed Neruda Arts and enjoyed their programmes since its inception in the Waterloo Region more than 20 years ago. What I like the most is the quality of their musical and cultural shows, and their philosophy of inclusion; be it in terms of gender and ethnicity, as well as delivery to those with hearing impairment.
Neruda Arts it’s been there for over 20 years bringing international hight quality artists to community events.
I am more than happy to give them 5a 5 stars ratting
Concert’s, workshops, exhibitions, festivals and community engagement, you name it, Neruda has it!!
As a devout patron of the arts, myself, and my partner had an amazing evening watching ‘ Asphalt Jungle Shorts’.
What a well paste, die for an entertaining evening, the outdoor aspect and site specific elements really add another layer, making it a truly unique and entertaining experience!
Neruda Productions is part of our community's heartbeat! They bring top-quality performing artists from around the world to this area, as well as supporting and amplifying the voices of local visual and performing artists. Kultrun Festival, which takes place every summer and is free to the public, brings the community together in celebration and joy and is a way for people to experience the huge variety of cultures that make up our world. I have had the honour of getting to lead drumming workshops at Kultrun festival, bringing people together to create rhythm and make music. What a wonderful time.
Neruda Arts is my hiding place where I can scape from busy nosy life, a place to restart my brain, a place to appreciate good trustful lovely people all of them helping to each other, a place where I can be heard and understood and a place where I can find love, happiness and guidance.
Neruda Arts is a great community resource for those looking for inclusion and immersion into arts and culture. A beautiful and welcoming nonprofit!
Neruda does a fantastic job in the community bringing in artists from all walks of life and introducing diverse cultures to KW
