Mission: Plant 100,000 trees per year, provide education programs to youth about conservation, coordinate volunteers for beach and river clean up, teach sustainable agricultural techniques, teach alternative building techniques using sustainable materials such as bamboo and wattle and daub, coordinate volunteers trips to sea turtle conservation projects.
Results: Coordinated group of students from Ananda Village in California to visit our farms to learn about cacao plantations and volunteer for turtle conservation project at La Tortuga Feliz. Planted and/or donated over 10,000 trees in Costa Rica. Built several buildings utilizing alternate materials such as bamboo and wattle and daub. Agricultural assistance to local farmers to teach about sustainable crops such as cacao, coffee, bananas, platanos, among others using organic methods and materials.
