Mission: Neighbors along the line helps individuals meet their basic needs and also provides opportunities for development and increased independence.
Programs: Our organization provides food, medical care, & educational services and a variety of other human needs and self-development assistance to qualified individuals residing in a 5. 5 square mile area of tulsa, as well as residents of sand springs. In 2014 in our medical clinic we provided free medical care to almost 430 patients as well as assistance with over 1,200 prescriptions. We provided lab tests, immunizations, flu shots, dental care, hearing and vision screenings and other related services. In our food pantry, we distributed food to 5,240 people. This provided enough food to make nutritious meals. That is a 3% increase in the number of people we served over 2013 and a 70% increase since 2008. In our literacy program, over 130 students enrolled in our ged program, and over 500 people received tutoring assistance and used the literacy lab. Internet access and job search assistance was available to area residents in our lab, as well as books through our lending library and other services. Our community activities program continues to offer assistance programs such as utility assistance, holiday assistance, wic, legal aid and 12 step programs, as well as enrichment programs such as senior bingo, life skills classes, a children's summer reading program and other community events to promote unity. We partner with a variety of other agencies to make as many services as possible available from our location.
