I had a horrible experience. They kept changing the protocol. After I did all my paperwork and had a zoom call, they didn’t call me back for approximately six weeks and then they requested more information. He was extremely ignorant and questioned my Judaism and my rabbi because the letter was in a different state. I was taking care of my sick mother because my father had just died. She had a stroke and a heart attack. I was taking care of her in her city. That’s why I wasn’t in the same city! They work part time, never answer calls and are completely unprofessional. There’s got to be a different way to get to Israel.

Do Not leave your country. No matter how bad it is there it is worse in Israel and NeFesh B'Nefesh is part of the Welfare system. You apply each person cost 50 for an application You give them an additional $50 for your reservations on El Al ONE WAY! If you have children they are looking at your children for adoption. Once you get to Israel Nefesh contacts the welfare system and your children are stolen (kidnapped) from you with the statement You are an unfit parent or some other made up story.

I would advise not to waste your time or money applying. This is a typical political organization who only assists certain people (connections etc) not those truly who need help. Several freinds and family emembers with needs were turned down for no reason. I would advise people not to donate or waste time applying and paying an application fee.
