Great group to work with and learn new things in sonar, search with dogs, and scuba dive search and recovery.
A versatile and all volunteer based team. They are able to provide ground searches, cadaver dogs and specialized dive team resources coupled with underwater sonar search capabilities. Working alongside other agencies in time of need, this team is dedicated to serve wherever they are needed.

I have known Mac Morgan for close to three decades and he has been providing search service in all of those years and then some. His team is always on time and professional answering the call for help. His work ethic and dedication to finding the loss is admirable. Mac has lent his knowledge and expertise to those who are committed to the cause, and free of charge. We are grateful for his service and his members.

CUE Center for Missing Persons
I first became aware of this organization approximately 10 years ago through a breeder of German Shepherds. I was familiar with Search and Rescue teams, but I had never heard of Human Remains Detector dogs. I found the subject fascinating, and became friends with several of the team members.
When I learned how hard they work to locate missing people, so they can be returned to their families for closure, I was hooked.
I have been a donor, but I'm only one person and the NCTA K9 SAR team needs more financial help than one person can supply.
Please consider donating to this wonderful totally volunteer organization.
I have been involved in SAR for about 5 years total but a volunteer with NCK9 for almost 2 years, as a K9 handler. I have been so impressed with the professionalism & knowledge of this team & I have learned so much since becoming a member. It has been the best decision I have made in my short SAR career. Chief Mac Morgan has a wealth of knowledge & experience & is eager to help members grow & operate to the best of their abilities. As a team, we strive to do our very best to assist the requesting agencies & family in need. I am very proud to be a part of an organization that cares so deeply for the community & gives so selflessly.
My name is Gordon Deno. I am the Emergency Manager for Wilson County, NC. We have partnered with NCK9 and consider them as part of our response team. We have used their services on many occasions. Anytime they have responded at our request, they have handled their mission with integrity and professionalism. The team has provided search training to our local responders on several occasions. The reviews that we have received from course participants have always been positive.
As a former chief of Winston Salem and Forsyth Rescue in NC, I have worked with Mac Morgan for 15 years. His volunteer team of professionals has been outstanding to work with. Gary Woolman
I received my SARTECH II certification almost 2 years ago and can appreciate the hard work and dedication that active certified searchers undergo to maintain their skills through training exercises and continuous classroom learning/re-certifications. NC K9 ERT responds to official agencies requesting assistance with skilled individuals who are eager to volunteer their time to serve their community. I could not be prouder of this team's excellent reputation for their expertise in both the field of sonar detection and K9 search, displaying continuous commitment and accountability.
Review from Guidestar
This group has totally amazed me! I have been a law enforcement officer for 30 years and just when I thought I had seen it all these folks teach me something new. A long story short, Mac and his team found what they said was a vehicle under water with their sonar equipment while assisting with a drowning case. (The vehicle had nothing to do with the drowning.) I was skeptical. We sent divers down to put eyes on the object and sure enough it is a car! Wow, just Wow! That's about all I can say. Totally impressed and I will not hesitate to call them again for assistance.

I have had the pleasure to work with NCK9ERT over the past 2 years. I have found them to be very committed to their volunteer duties and have a professional attitude . They have spent many hours perfecting their skills that they provide to the citizens of North Carolina. I would rate them among the best.

Our services are available to requesting agencies at no cost to them. Please consider donating to help us continue to bring the missing home.
I am writing to provide information about my experience working with NC K9 Emergency Response Team Inc. I have been impressed with the professionalism and responsiveness of this team. In all of the cases in which I have been involved, the searches have been handled with a strong commitment to ethical standards and sensitivity to the privacy of the requesting agencies and the victim's families. This team has consistently been responsive, thorough and committed. I believe NC K9 E.R.T. Inc, is one of the best search teams in the United States.
This volunteer organization provides a unique resource team of skilled and trained search and canine teams when they are called upon in an emergency. They are a group of dedicated and professional volunteers that are indeed a blessing to have in our community.
I've been a volunteer with NC K9 ERT for the past year. They are a wonderful group of people who are extremely knowledgeable in the field of search and rescue. They will go above and beyond to help those in need of their services.
I have had the pleasure of being a volunteer for the NC K9 Emergency Response Team (NC K9 ert) for a year now. I first met this team when I attended the September 11th Memorial at Oakwood Cemetary in downtown Raleigh last year. I appproached the team to express my interest and was introduced to Chief Mac Morgan who was very gracious in providing me details on how I could get involved. From there I attended my very first mock search which took place over a weekend that Fall and that’s when I knew I wanted to be a part of this organization because of their professionalism and inclusiveness. This team is dedicated to the service they are providing and I wanted to be associated with them. I became SARTECH II certified early this year and have attended several training classes conducted by NC K9 ert. Highly qualified instructors are brought in from across the country to help train not only our team but opened up to others to attend. I am dedicated to continue to serve this team and am challenging myself now to learn sonar detection. This team has been together for many years and I am privileged to be learning from the best!
I had the honor of meeting this group last year during one of their training seminars. Such an extremely knowledgeable group of people with a drive to go above and beyond to help people in their most desperate times of need
The NC K9 emergency response team is a group of the nicest hardest working people I have ever met! Their dediction to the people they serve is above and beyond.
I have served a volunteer role in public safety for over twenty years. When prospects of continuing in EMS as a volunteer dried up I found a welcoming home among some of the most honest, diligent, and talented people I had ever met in any public safety field. I was taught skills I would never have considered on my path to becoming an operational SAR-TECH.
This team will deploy at any time of day or night, train in the snow, search under driving rains. The dedication is a class above. The K-9s are absolutely incredible, the time and financial commitments of their handlers are beyond anything I have ever seen in any other volunteer situation.
As a member of this team it is a privledge to work beside such a dedicated bunch of individuals and K9s.
I feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to train with this team. They have skills backed up by years of experience in the field.
This service is such a great asset to the area, what would be done without their great efforts to assist in emergency situations.
I have worked with this group for over ten years. I know of no other that is more sincere, well trained, and ready at a moments notice to respond and offer what ever assistance they may be able to render. I have also had the pleasure of certifying several of the members through North American Police Work Dog Association or National Narcotic Detector Dog Association.

As a team member for many years, it has been a privalige to work with those dedicated to helping, although not a dog owner I have worked beside many who are and see there effort in training a maintaing a level to test and show their hard work. Am considered a ground pounder and been beside several on searches and in their training, And finding tracks of a person over a rock area can be time consuming
Great Team
As a 12 year volunteer HRD K9 Handler, I can honestly say, I could not be prouder to be part of a core team of such dedicated members. Whether in training or on a search my teammates give 1,000% to bring home the missing.
NCCERT is an organization worthy of your support. They perform a very difficult job that is often devoid of any personal reward other than the satisfaction of a job well done. One thing the profile doesn't mention is the countless hours they spend training members of other search teams. We on the Lee County Land Search Team owe NCCERT a huge dept for all of the help they have given us and the wisdom they have shared. All it takes is a phone call to get a lot of talent heading our way. They sacrifice a lot of their own time and money to make the world a better place. _ Lester Armstead,LCLST. (Festuswv@yahoo.com)
