I have volunteered for this wonderful organization for many years. They are a blessing to wild animals and the people who want to help them.

I was on my way to church on 10-06-13, and saw a huge snapping turtle on the rd. that someone had hit with a car, with the help of a state trooper and wood ctys. sheriff, we got him off the rd. and Natures Nursery was called and came and got him and immediately was nursing him back to health. They are angels sent from God to help our injured wild life.

Natures Nursery is not far from my home. They have been there for my family many desperate times. The first was a blue jay, then a humming bird, some squirrels, Always there with advice, and many rescues. My daughter learned the love of nature and compassion for all living things. We made monthly visits to their open house and we're always amazed. My daughter is grown now and has used their resources and advice for the nature in her area. I can't say enough! what a great staff, always trying to not only help the animals, but also educate the public, and provide a much needed and appreciated service. Thanks to them for all the help over the years, don't know what we'd do without them! Love your organization and your devotion to nature and the compassion evident in your work! Linda L .

I was going to school to be a vet tech. I love all animals, but especially wildlife. The director brought animals to our school for an educational program, emphasizing the importance of leaving uninjured wildlife in the wild. I was so impressed with the program that I immediately signed up to volunteer. The staff is caring and professional. I had the opportunity to work with the program animals, to transport injured animals, and help out in the clinic.

They do a wonderful job protecting and educating the public. If they had the funds, they would be able to do so much more.

Many years ago husband found some orphaned bunnies, we tried to raise them ourselves but they started dying so we searched out some experts, and boy did we find some experts. I took the bunnies out to them & submitted my volunteer application the same day. Since then I have been involved with Nature's Nursery and I can't say enough about what a great organization it is. I have learned so much about our native wildlife, environment & coexistence. This amazing place is full of beautiful animals of all kinds and people who selflessly give of themselves to care for those critters. I love it and count myself fortunate to be involved, as do my children & family.

I was lucky to come to know of this group right a couple of years ago, just about the time they took in an injured Eaglet. They are a Wonderful Group of People, who work hours on end to care for the injured and orphaned wildlife in our area. I have referred others to them with their questions as to how to handle certain situations, whether it's a bird that has flown into a window or a Mama Duck wandering the neighborhood. They are always helpful. And the Eaglet, I was fortunate to attend my first release of a bald eagle back into the Wild.

Many years ago I was fortunate enough to be able to volunteer with this organization for about 2 years. I was constantly amazed by the knowledge and professionalism of the staff and volunteers and their willingness to go above and beyond in their efforts to help not only local wildlife, but also the public. The center was constantly finding ways to reach the public through educational programs and one on one education by way of phone calls from concerned citizens regarding wildlife issues and during animal intake. The care offered to the animals was top notch and always with the end goal of returning the animal to the wild if at all possible.

During my time with the center I was also able to participate in several educational programs involving children and it was remarkable to see first hand the impact that it had on them to see wildlife up close and ask questions.

I have since moved out of the area, but have remained a member for many years. I think the service they provide to the community is invaluable. Through programs, phone calls and more recently social media they are able to educate thousands of people each year on how to coexist with the wildlife they encounter.

I've never met a group more committed to the mission of an organization. Everyone works tirelessly - sometimes around the clock! - to care for the orphaned and injured wildlife that are in their care. They also do a wonderful job educating people of all ages about wildlife and conservation. The work they do is amazing and inspiring. Nature's Nursery is a true asset to our region's wildlife and environment.

Nature's Nursery is like no other organization I have known. I am fortunate to have been involved with it for the entire 21 years it has been in operation and have been amazed at all it has accomplished. I get to see the vast number of animals that come through our doors, the thousands of people who have been kind enough to bring them to us, the volunteers who are SO giving of their time, and the members who so graciously support us financially. Not a day goes by that I am not touched by all of the above.

Nature's Nursery is the place in Northwest OH to contact for wild animal care and rehab. I became hooked on foster parenting wild babies a few years ago when I found a young squirrel and didn't know how to care for it. I had heard about Nature's Nursery before but had never needed them. There is nothing like finding an injured or orphaned creature and not knowing what to do for it. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Laura Z., her staff and the army of selfless volunteers. This is not a job for them, but a heartfelt vocation into which they pour their hearts and souls; in addition, they have to take on the backbreaking physical demands of caring for the non-releasable, permanent resident, program animals. The staff is on call constantly, manning phone calls from the public and making arrangements for animal pickup and care. Nature's Nursery provides a variety of wonderful education programs for children and adults. This is only a sampling of what Nature's Nursery has to offer the public. So much more than what I have listed is what is required for Nature's Nursery to run as fluidly as it does. It offers unique, one-of-a-kind, much needed services to human and animal residents of Northwest Ohio. Nature's Nursery does so much with so little. Again, the people who work or volunteer for Nature's Nursery are the heart of the organization. I share a common bond of love of animals with these people and when I am there or volunteering for Nature's Nursery, I am home.

This center is so wonderful to take care of wounded wildlife. They are also a great asset to the community giving many an opportunity to volunteer, or simply learn more about the wildlife around them.

Natures Nursery is a God sent for all wildlife in need! I took in a squirrel with a very bad case of mange last fall and they kept him and nursed him back to health through our harsh winter here in Ohio. I was so happy when I was able to go bring him back to his home where he is now thriving and enjoying the spring weather. Had it not been for Natures Nursery, this poor little guy would have surly died a horrible death through the winter. I am astounded at what wonderful work they do for all wildlife in need, without prejudice to any species! Thank you and God Bless Natures Nursery!

I have been a volunteer at Nature's Nursery for 18 years. What a great group! They take in over 2,000 injured and orphaned wild animals for rehab each year, and conduct wonderful nature education programs throughout the community. The staff and volunteers are very hard-working, dedicated people.

I have been a volunteer for 10+ years, a member and board member since I graduated from College. Nature's Nursery is a quality organization with dedicated volunteers and a small, highly skilled staff. Operating off of a shoe string budget, the rehabilitation and education services provided to the community are invaluable. I am just happy to be a part of the organization.
