Programs: Mentor-Apprentice Fellowships: funding established Native artists to mentor emerging artist apprentices in a 12-month program of routine and structured sessions. The purpose of the mentoring is to increase the apprentices’ skill level in their traditional or contemporary visual arts practice through innovation, creativity, exploration, and mentor advisement. Regional Artist Fellowships: funding established and emerging Native artists to support their practice to power their artistic growth and magnify their voices through the development of new works or completing projects in motion. Community Inspiration Projects: providing collaborative support and technical guidance on artist-driven projects designed to connect Native and non-Native people in community conversations that address pressing social, cultural, and environmental concerns to create positive change.
