Mission: The foundation's primary exempt purpose is to perform non partisan research,study and analysis on waste and inefficiency in government and to conduct educational programs for the benefit of the american people on ways to reduce government spending and taxes. Ntuf impacts key fiscal policy debates at the federal, state and local levels in real time using tools that allow numerous stakeholders to examine the true costs of government.
Programs: Public outreach & communications:this program category includes substantive external communications with ntuf's current membership, as well as all of ntuf's work related to informing the general public of its findings on its research topics through promotion and distribution of policy papers and issue briefs, an email newsletter, the website and blog, news releases, appearances at conferences, and earned media appearances on the radio and television.
research: this program category includes basic research on fiscal policy topics that include the costs and benefits of budget proposals, the incidence and distribution of tax burdens on american households, compensation and perquisites of public officials, presidential travel, constitutional tax and expenditure limitations, the economic impact of regulations, the impact on taxpayers of various interest groups' budgetary agendas and the costs of compliance and administration associated with federal, state, and local tax systems.
