Mission: To reduce the incidence and impact of stroke
Programs: The chapters of the national stroke association respond to requests for information through calls, letters, & website inquiries. The chapters have developed support groups in each chapter area. Each chapter continues to hold stroke screenings at varous locations. Lectures at health fairs and professional educational seminars help educate the public about the risk factors and sympoms of stroke. The chapters have developed telephone hotlines and websites to promote the national stroke association.
