Mission: The National Spasmodic Dysphonia Association (NSDA) dedicated to advancing medical research into the causes of and treatments for spasmodic dysphonia, promoting physician and public awareness of the disorder through outreach, and sponsoring support activities for people with SD and their families through educational materials, annual symposiums, support groups, and on-line resources. The NSDA is the only organization that is entirely dedicated to Spasmodic Dysphonia.
Programs: Spasmodic Dysphonia affects the ability to talk, causing people feel isolated and disconnected. The programs of the NSDA focus on outreach and support including patient symposiums, support groups, on-line networking, and exhibiting at medical conventions.
