According to the National Center for Charitable Statistics, the National Prayer Garden has ZERO ASSETS & ZERO REVENUE. This organization has a Post Office Box in Welcome, MD, yet it does not own any property and as a Blog it cannot solicit donations.
According to the Maryland Tax Assessment site, Edak Eyo and Kayode Peter own a $699K home located at Mason Springs Road! Where did they acquire this amount of money? Donations to the Prayer Garden or from "fellow Nigerians"????
From the NPG blog:
“We thank God for the corporate donations that have made this possible. Through faith all things are possible”
Just WHO are those “corporate” donors? Construction Resolutions? The Faux Group? Lawrence Abell and Associates? Steve Scott Law Group? Cleaners of America? Kenneth Copeland Ministries?
Why are "corporate donors" even interested in this event, unless they have future "plans" for the RESORT COMPLEX??

YET AGAIN, ANOTHER EXAMPLE of a "Prayer Garden" RESORT supporter who is either UNWILLING OR UNABLE TO ANSWER ANY OF THE QUESTIONS OR ADDRESS THE FACTS...
DOES THE "PRAYER GARDEN" ORGANIZATION HAVE SOMETHING TO HIDE?
WILL ANYONE FROM THE PRAYER GARDEN ORGANIZATION ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS?
1. WHO IS PROVIDING THE MONEY FOR THE PRAYER GARDEN TO MAKE THE MONTHLY $100,000.00 PAYMENTS FOR THE LAND??
2. Is the Prayer Garden receiving "donations" from a foreign investor or a televangelist?
3. Since the Project Manager for the Prayer Garden is a LOCAL DEVELOPER who "happens" to live in Charles County, I wonder if there's a "financial incentive" for him personally to insure this resort is built?
4. IS KAYODE PETER REALLY A CHRISTIAN -- OR IS HE A MUSLIM?
5. IS THE "PRAYER GARDEN" A MUSLIM ORGANIZATION DISGUISED AS "CHRISTIAN" so as not to raise "suspicions"?
6. IS THERE A NIGERIAN "CONNECTION"?
If the organization is unable or unwilling to provide answers to these questions, why would anyone donate?
This organization has no transparency, no clear agenda and no history of serving their fellow man, Christians, Muslims or any other. A grand "vision" without humble beginnings. Pastor Kayode has defaulted on his mortgage 4 years running. If he can't manage his personal finances, how could he manage the finances to support a Natioinal Prayer Garden. Reminds one of the Reverend Shine and DeeDee situation. Is this resort available to all Christians free of charge? Should we all be able to worship in God's garden and rest in His house or do we have to have a membership first?! Did my God ask me to build an opulent temple to Him or is this a tribute to Pastor Kayode and Lola?! No assets, no revenue, no proof of anything. Donate at your own risk.

I have read literature on the National Prayer Garden and I’m convinced that this is what the world needs during these pivotal economic times. No longer can we be divided, all denominations need to be united in Christ!
Im wondering if:
Pastor's Kayode and Ola Peter = Peter Kayode and LOLA Kayode from nigeria.. ?-- There IS NO National Prayer Garden - Its a "vision" from god, but you sure as hell better talk to the folks that live near this site. and those that would be affected by this RESORT on the Nanjemoy Creek.... BEFORE you claim GOD gave it to you.. -- This is serious development in an AC Zone.. that they have ZERO chance of getting, unless of course, it is gods will...
I would not donate a dime.. without permits, or a special exception being approved by the County.
The National Prayer Garden is a vision of the man and woman of God, Pastor's Kayode and Ola Peter. I have heard of their efforts. Many are skeptical and want to tarnish and diminish these efforts. Now weapon that is fashioned or manufactured spiritually, financially or underhandedly shall prosper. This vision was sent by The Heavenly Messager, The Great I AM, Father God Almighty Himself. This will be a place where all may worship, praise and pray in spirit and in truth. Much love to all involved. Awaiting the opening day, yahoo!
Hi I'm 15 years old and I'm in total support of the national prayer garden. I believe that the national prayer garden will help the youth get closer to christ and keep them off the streets. It will provide many summer jobs for the teens. I'm really excited about the national prayer garden. :)
i think what their doing is great i love this organization let them be blessed and cherished and fruitful
The public deserves to learn that this organization does not have good standing in the Maryland corporation database.

With all of the negativity and divisiveness in the world today, it is refreshing to have something like the National Prayer Garden. This will be a place where Christians of all denominations, can come together and pray and worship God. It was the desire of Jesus himself that “we all may be one……” John 17:21. I believe in my heart that nothing would more pleasing to God than to see the body of Christ united as one and that is the mission and goal of the National Prayer Garden. This is truly something to be celebrated!
As Christians, we should come together in support of this project.
I sincerely believe that God through the Lord Jesus Christ has ordained The National Prayer Garden to bridge the gap between denominations of the Christian faith in accordance with John 17:20-22.
It is God's will for the body of Christ to be united. I believe this is the avenue that God is using to get his job done. It is long overdue for the body of Christ to have a place where they can come together as one. I believe The National Prayer Garden is the tool God is using for this to take place.
I was invited by my friend to visit his worship service at Abiding Word Family Christian Church; mind you, I'm not heavily vested in any religion. The spirit of the community was immediately visible, and their passion for Christ's message was incredible. At the end of the worship service, they mentioned this project that had been in the works for a few years. The idea wasn't a new one - create a non-denominational organization open to all people and cultures, attempting to unite them under Christianity's message. Except they also plan on creating a spiritual getaway where anyone can take some time off to focus on their spiritual growth.
I spoke with a few leaders after service and in the weeks following I began doing some research which led me to visiting the actual land they are preparing, the concept and constructions plans, and speaking with several members who are partnering with the Prayer Garden's mission to turn it into reality. I found that each individual was intensely focused on love - they are sacrificing much to make their dreams a reality. I was so inspired by the individual members, that I decided supporting this cause would be money well spent.
For all these other reviewers spreading false rumors, do yourself a favor and get meet these people in person. Take some time to ACTUALLY learn about the project instead of bashing it like any anti-Christian would do.

Roger, All regions throughout the Washington DC area WILL experience water shortages by 2030. It's not a prediction, it's a fact - just crunch the numbers... amount of water, population growth and density, take a little bit for conservation efforts... it's a grim picture right now. Could you please point me to where I can learn about the area having no public water or sewer? And what would you consider the false pretenses under which they are soliciting donations? I'm not trying to defend the organization per say, I just feel that I've done my research and it concludes the contrary to what you'd have me believe. But I definitely value your opinion and would like to look into it... thank you Roger.
