The NPO is a historical parenting resource. The work they do state to state and Nation-wide is valuable to families and children. They use their resources well, provide many paths to knowledge and truth while providing free resources to states. Their shared parenting report card is a tool used by many different family law reform organizations, like my.
NPO is imperative to the systemic changes needed in family law.
I have worked directly or indirectly with NPO for the last several years, and I only have positive things to say about my experiences. No one organization is the panacea for the problems in family law, but NPO is making progress.

I've been volunteering with NPO for almost two years and have found the organization to be transparent and helpful from the top down. They stay focused on the mission and put in the effort to keep up with research and trends in shared parenting across the globe. Their website and supplementary materials are critical to their success, and I can't speak highly enough for NPO's reputation and expertise amongst its leadership.
NPO has an amazing website packed with information. Their volunteers are helping change the world for the better!
I found the NPO back in 2014 while going through my divorce, and unfortunately custody battle for the children. The amount of data and research the National Parents Organization was crucial and instrumental in my case. These professionals are unsurpassed by any other Non-Profit that I have seen, Such tremendous work- Thank you so much!

NPO is the best shared parenting organization when it comes to the research supporting shared parenting. They have the facts and work with our other orgs to get information out there.
While this organization claims to be working for equal rights of all parents and to correct the laws, they do not. In 2012 when a bill was introduced in Ohio which would have corrected the faults within Ohio's "shared parenting" law, this organization actively campaigned against those changes.
Nationally they have been calling other organizations and demanding that legislation that they intend to introduce be approved by them.
They have shown a consistent pattern of claiming work done by others as their own so they revive donations. As a case, they spoke about a ruling that was made in a lesbian custody case in Ohio which the courts got correct. The LGBT community in Cincinnati held a fundraiser on their behalf and no one from the organization showed at the event.
They are not what they claim to be in any way.
