Mission: Founded in 1975, the National Organization for Victim Assistance is the oldest champion of rights and services for victims of crime and crisis in the worldwide victims' movement. Over the decades, NOVA has earned the respect of victims, their advocates, and their allies for advancing its four purposes: 1. Advocating for victim rights; 2. Improving the knowledge and skills of those who seek to help victims through training; 3. Responding directly to victims of crime and crisis with a toll-free "800" helpline; and, 4.
