I lost my father to lung cancer two years ago. When he was first diagnosed, the president of the North Carolina Chapter of the NLCP helped open doors to top-notch professional care with Duke Oncology. This organization is professional, commited, and supportive of the lung cancer community and its members do all they can to help promote awareness and advocacy. They are a first-class operation.

I have lost both parents and my 23 year old son in law to lung cancer in 4 short years. When I found this organization I found a voice to make a difference for others who are facing what my family went through. The NLCP gives you the tools to be that voice. The general public have been misinformed and misled and the NLCP provides education, advocacy, and fundraising tools needed to fund the needed research for lung cancer. They have always been supportive and helpful in all my advocacy endeavors. This is a CAN DO organization with a genuine focus:CURE LUNG CANCER!
Lung Cancer is a serious disease that kills more men and women than any other kind of cancer. And yet it doesn't get enough support or attention because of the horrible stigma attached to it - the statistics haven't changed for years.
But this charity works very, very hard at changing all of that! It's made up of wonderful people who do all they can to help change the lung cancer status quo - from 5ks, yogathons, golf tournaments to seminars on primary care education to evening of hope galas - to raise awareness, funds, advocacy and to help patients get access to information, better care, treatment, and support. And they do a wonderful job of helping people with lung cancer know they are not alone.
This is a great organization who is committed to raising money for lung cancer research, awareness and advocacy. The people there are great to work with!
