Mission: National foundation for debt management, inc. (nfdm) primarily exists to build financial wellness for consumers through education.

housing counseling: counseling is conducted by national foundation for debt management; ad department of housing and urban development (hud) approved housing counseling agency. Nfdm's housing mission is to provide third party neutral counseling/education to the community in all areas of home ownership. These areas include but are not limited to: rental assistance, post purchase counseling, foreclosure counseling, and reverse mortgage counseling. Nfdm's counselors are all certified by hud to fulfull its mission. All counselors receive ongoing continuing education to maintain certification and all are given senior sensitivity training to properly counsel elderly homeowners and renters. Nfdm's agency is examined by hud every two years and has always been given high performance approvals by hud.
financial literacy seminar and workshop training programs: nfdm has developed a comprehensive financial literacy training format available to consumers nationwide in several languages. Nfdm assists other non-profits and community organizations that have the need for financial literacy educational programs but do not have adequate funding or skills. Nfdm's national outreach efforts are predominantly intended to empower low to moderate-income individuals and families by providing the knowlede and skills that will enable them to improve their financial management skills and change their financial lives. Nfdm does not consider race, sex, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation gender identity or ability to pay in its service to the community.
