The annual forum is held in washington, dc each year for a national conversation around the shared responsibility to address the needs of regional economies by strengthening the ability of american businesses and career seekers to compete in a global economy.

These programs allow nawb to advance the work of the public workforce system and broaden the impact, to increase the effectiveness of workforce programs, and to improve the efficiency of workforce development efforts across the nation. Key projects and initiatives include: implementing the workforce innovation and opportunity act (wioa) with innovation and opportunity; encouraging two-gen workforce strategies, h1b america's promise, promoting equity in apprenticeship, advancing retail success, and the solar training network.
