I first learned about the National Association of Nonprofit Organizations & Executives (NANOE), from a client who was a member. At her recommendation, I attended a two-day Major Gifts Ramp-Up™ event and recently completed the first of three NANOE professional credentials (Certified Nonprofit Executive (CNE), Certified Development Executive (CDE), and Certified Nonprofit Consultant (CNC)). NANOE offers a wealth of resources for continued learning and professional development (online and in-person events and conferences, videos, and so on), and is a network of engaging and experienced donors, volunteers, and charitable leaders committed to innovation and impact. The NANOE team is highly responsive, supportive, a pleasure to work with, and strives for members to succeed on an individual and organizational level.

Ever since reading Jimmy LaRose's book Reimagining Philanthropy, I have been thrilled to work with the veteran nonprofit and fundraising professionals. They have creatively addressed every challenge and barrier I had experienced as Executive Director for a large nonprofit for over 20 years. The insights and clear thinking they have incorporated to address the number one issue nonprofits are faced with, namely finding new donors and successfully having them support in exceptional ways, are more than impressive. The nonprofit sector does the most important work to save and changes lives, and NANOE is the best resource I have found to assist in a multitude of ways.
I was drawn to NANOE because of its emphasis on nonprofit capacity building. Plus, their values resonated with mine. As I explored what they had to offer, I was impressed that what they were advocating was all research-based. The concepts they espoused weren't just theories - they were based on actual empirical evidence. I felt that I found the home I was looking for all my life.
It never ceases to amaze me the sheer volume of content and resources NANOE offers to guide the nonprofit realm. Members can access vast databases of training resources to upskill and be more effective at things like fundraising and nonprofit governance. They can tap into volumes of winning cases for support, grant applications, and other supporting documents so they don't have to "reinvent the wheel" every time they begin a new fundraising campaign or other initiative. And that barely even scratches the surface of NANOE as a nonprofit powerhouse.

This is the most functional, accountable board I have served on! Each board member donates financially, contributes endless hours by providing the executive team their expertise, carefully reads and comments on all board documents, ensures the proper accounting practices are in place, contributes to product development, and holds the executive team accountable for NANOE's advancement. It's been a great experience to work with this set of professionals and people dedicated to serving nonprofits in the USA. The executive team freely share successes and mistakes and seeks the wisdom of the board in making tough decisions. There is an openness present that is refreshing and energizing.

I first became familiar with NANOE by attending their virtual conference in April 2021 on behalf of a non-profit I am most involved with - Fathers on the Move. I was first taken by the extensive experiences and expertise of the NANOE principals and overall Team. I and others on the FOTM Board just convinced our ED to become a lifetime member, and I have also recommended NANOE membership to other non-profits I help on a volunteer basis. The experience we have all had with multiple NANOE personnel has been first-rate. The membership cost is modest for any association, not to mention one that has an enormous compilation of tools, information, organization alliances, and many other things that can help a non-profit with aspirations realize those aspirations. I will continue to proudly and confidently recommend NANOE membership to non-profits big and small, knowing that it is likely the best value investment they will likely make throughout their hopefully impactful existences.

This group has been spamming our email relentlessly since 2016. I have unsubscribed from every email I get and every few months, a new group of emails come in from a new domain.
I never signed up for their email list and I have called, emailed, and send various messages asking to be removed, with no success. This is a group of unethical hucksters and I would seriously question the judgement of anyone involved with such a shady practice.
