Mission: The Narrow River Preservation Association (NRPA) was founded in 1970 as a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) environmental protection group with the mission to restore, protect and preserve the quality of the natural environment and communities within the 14 square mile Narrow River Watershed. NRPA has approached the issues facing the Watershed from a scientific viewpoint, being one of the first watershed groups to initiate water quality monitoring, institute environmental education programs in Watershed schools and make proactive recommendations on land protection, housing developments and urban sprawl issues.
