Programs: This fiscal year, narika handled 1700 calls and 385 email requests for help and served 227 domestic voilence clients and families. We regularly serve the counties of alameda, contra costa, santa clara, san mateo, and san francisco, as well as callers from around california. As part of its efforts to prevent family violence, narika outreaches to the south asian community, law enforcement officials, health providers, county social service agencies as well as religious leaders by regularly participating in training programs that speak to identifying abuse and to highlight participating in training programs that speak to identifying abuse and to highlight culturally sensitive ways of reaching out to both survivors as well as perpetrators.
