Causes: Education, Scholarships, Scholarships & Student Financial Aid

Mission: The naperville education foundation seeks financial and other resources through fund raising and community partnerships to support program goals. It serves as a vehicle through which donors can fund projects, grants and scholarships for naperville community unit school district 203 students and schools.

Programs: Each year through our annual grant awards program, nef gives 30-50 competitive grants to naperville school district 203 schools that develop innovative projects which stimulate students' engagement and learning experience. These projects provide experiences that excite, motivate and help students grow, learn and achieve in the categories of: literacy, math, science, fine arts, health/physical development, cultural studies and general.

scholarships awarded to qualified students in the naperville school district 203 for educational related expenses associated with a college degree granting program.

study skills academy (ssa) is nef's signature program, now district-wide, that grew out of an annual award-winning proposal piloting the establishment of an ssa in our 14 elementary schools. Today, nef provides funding to 21 of our 22 schools for their before/after school program that gives students a boost with homework and learning strategies. Ssa has been credited with helping to raise district 203 test scores.
