I am a long time volunteer and have seen the transformation of hearts when children feel loved and have a sense of security. I have had the privilege of seeing children walk through these doors on one of their hardest days and then bloom under the care of loving foster parents in the Nana's House community. This is a community charity with numerous businesses and individual donors that take a personal interest in the lives of children and the families who care for them.

Nana's House continues to honor their many community donors, sponsors and volunteers by using every resource available to them for the benefit of children in need of safe, loving homes. I have volunteered here for over 3 years and have seen first hand how they value their foster families and the children they care for.

I came to Nana's House as a volunteer because I wanted to help an organization that helps foster families help their children. They operate with a no-debt policy, which parallels my life and beliefs.

I came in to help with the chickens and landscaping in spring of 2024 and have been very impressed with their volunteer coordination and the day-to-day operations and administration. Every question I have had was met with openness and honesty. The one concern I raised was resolved to everyone's satisfaction and safety very quickly.

I am prideful of my reputation and am not hesitate recommending to friends and family to be volunteers in Nana's house.

Respectfully,

Kay Bruce

I have had the pleasure to be a volunteer with Nana's House for several years now. The volunteer staff and administration always amaze me with their energy and love for the children that are in their care. They are always focused on what is best for each individual child, physically, emotionally and spiritually. The Christ-centered family focus is what sets them apart from others. Nana's Children's Home is a blessing to our Brevard community and to everyone that they touch.

Ever since Kim Frodge, Director of Nana’s Children’s Home came to speak to my church about Neglected, Abused, Needy or Abandoned children I have volunteered in Nana’s House thrift shop. It’s so difficult to imagine children going through such hardship. Nana’s provides a safe loving home in a beautiful 8 home community built especially for them with only private & corporate funding, no government funding. It’s truly a blessing for the children.

My wife Margaret (Margie), and I have volunteered at Nana’s House in Melbourne Florida, for more than 5 years. It is always an invigorating experience and we look forward to Mondays each week when we are there. The friends we volunteer with are always helpful kind and courteous (like the boys out oath says), and it is a wonderful place to spend time. The items for sale are always “top grade”, and our customers always fun to serve! Many customers tell us it is the finest thrift store they have been to!

My wife and I have worked as volunteers at Nanna’s House Thrift Shop since August 2018. We volunteer on Mondays. From that first day, we have been impressed by the quality of the items for sale, and for the professionalism of the volunteer personnel. The true desire of each person involved in their day to day activities is to work to do all they can to help, provide supervised, loving homes, for the abused and abandoned children for which this charity was founded. Many children are being lovingly cared for and it is a joy to be part of this endeavor!

Nana's House is an incredible community meeting the needs of children requiring foster care. The children are welcomed with the warmest of hearts; provided with the clothing, food, school supplies and education needed while meeting with caring social workers to help them acclimate into their temporary homes. Many children have been adopted through Nana's House Foster Families/Parents.
It is a primary concern to keep siblings together so they can support each other through these emotional adjustments.
I have never seen anything equal to the support that Nana's House and One More Child make accessible to the foster community. We are so grateful to have an organization like this.

I have been associated with Nanas House since 2009. I have worked in many capacities. Fundraising, workin at the thrift store, attending events on their behalf to explain our organization. I have witnessed the change in the children in our care. They can feel that they are safe and well cared for. I experienced the building of our gated community from a dream of the founder, to completion. This is the closest you’ll ever get to witness the amazing things that can happen in your own community when people work toward a common goal. In this case, helping children in need.

What a blessing to the children (and even those adults serving NANA'S!) this ministry has been! I've known the founder(s) of NANA's House since the beginning, and to see them "take a leap of faith" by following the Holy Spirit's prompting, and remodeling the very first home for the children, I can only give the glory and praise to God for providing such a special, much needed environment for children in need of shelter, care, love, and to help them grow and mature in a loving environment they may not have ever experienced otherwise.

Now more than ever, in these difficult times we're living in, we need more ministries like theirs to help the children, so to "raise them up" in Godly ways, educated, loved on, cared for, to be prepared for adulthood. What a blessing this ministry has been, and is!

NANA’s House is an outstanding organization that supports families in our community. Children are housed in loving, caring homes with a special emphasis on God and Biblical understandings. I don’t know of any other place where children from broken families can get the attention they need through their difficult times. Of course, nothing comes from nothing, but, what Kim believes in, comes to fruition. Her tenacity and desire to truly help children in need, her volunteers, generous donors and her love and beliefs in God and His trust in her are obvious in the homes donated as well as parents to give children what every child deserves. I started volunteering at Nana's House this past April. They provided me with a tour of the community and with each step I was more and more impressed. The LOVE, CARE, and COMMITMENT from Kim Frodge and her team of volunteers could be felt everywhere I turned. Although amazed by this, I became even more so when I saw how the donors and local community keep it improving. The generosity of others was focused on helping the parents in the community provide for the foster children that are entrusted to them. The children all have a safe and loving place to help them through difficult times and to experience the healthy love of Family. It is an incredible accomplishment of the community and I appreciate being a part of it.

It's old fashion charity! We are called to take care of those that can't take care of themselves! I love the fact that we operate like a normal Christian Family home and have only five children in each home so that the house parents can roll model what it's like to live in a normal family home! I also love the relationships that are built in this organization by volunteering with other people in the community that want to make a difference in the lives of children! Together we are helping to break the cycle of neglect and abuse! I also love how the House Parents love these children as if they are their own! Children feel loved the second they walk in the door!

Nana's House is simply amazing! This Christ centered organization has pulled together our community doing God's work to help children in need. It has been a blessing to watch it grow over the years and open multiple homes where children will feel safe, protected, and loved!
You see my Mom had a dream, God called her to start this mission many years ago. Most would brush off a mission of this magnitude, not my Mom, she and my Dad stepped out in Faith and with God by there side they followed God's calling. Through many years of dedication, hard work, and support from the community and so many Faithful volunteers Nana's House has provided for many children! This organization will always be a blessing to our family and will continue to provide loving homes for children in need for years to come!

I have been a volunteer with Nanas Children's Home (known as Nana's House) for over 10 years now. I have watched this amazing charity grow and reach goals that seemed almost impossible. All along the way they have never wavered from their mission or broke any promises. Another amazing thing about Nana's House...we are 100% volunteers. There is no payroll. All funds raised are carefully used to ensure that there is no waste and that we are able to maintain the health and welfare of the children in our care. I have seen first hand how Nanas House has positively affected the children in our care, and their families. While we are a small ripple in the pond, what we do to help neglected, abused, needy, or abandoned children does and will continue to make a difference, a difference in the lives of the children and families we help and a difference in the community in which we live. I cannot think of a better way to spend my volunteer time and hours.

I have volunteered with Nana's House for over 9 years now. I have watched this wonderful non-profit blossom and grow into the amazing organization that it is today. Nana's House has grown, but has never strayed from its mission to provide a loving and caring Christian family home to children who are neglected, abused, needy, or abandoned. Truly a charity, 100% of the monies raised goes to the care of the children in some fashion (health, education, food, shelter, etc). There are no paid position as they are 100% volunteer run. I love this organization as I have seen first hand the lives that have been changed because of it. There are so many (too many) children in need and Nana's House is crucial to those in our area. Nana's House hopes to stop the cycle of neglect, abuse, and abandonment by ensuring that the children in our care know they are fervently loved and that they have a purpose in life. Allowing them to live in a happy family home provides them with love and strength to grow into good strong adults and to be role models to their children someday. All of the volunteers, the board members, and the house parents have a heart for this mission and give their all. This is beyond a doubt, a top-notch nonprofit!

NANA's has been the most wonderful place to "work" as a volunteer ever! The others who volunteer enjoy their days there, not only for the benefits given to the supported children we serve, but the atmosphere is so positive, loving and caring to each other and to customers who come in to browse. Every cent earned there goes to caring for the children and keeping the houses going. I love going in to help, and look forward to being there. The purpose of NANA's is what got me to volunteer, but now that we are friends all, it has given us benefits also. It's fun to be there! We love sharing the vision and being able to help.

The hope and love and guidance provided to these children will help ensure that they become successful citizens of Brevard County and contribute to the future of the area. I first learned of Nana's House about 6-8 years ago. This organization provides safe loving homes for Needy, abused, neglected or abandoned children ( NANA). They have gone from one home to building a gated community that will have 8 homes housing up to 40 children. The community features a pool, community building, gardening and a playground. It is almost completely. The true beauty is that this has been accomplished all by donations! We are 100% community funded and 100% volunteer ran. I have volunteered with Nana's House almost since inception. It is incredible to see the outpouring from the community with volunteers who helped renovate our first home and now to our Gated Community constructed by volunteer builders and contractors. We hold annual fundraisers and operate two thrift stores for our income - we have no paid staff. But the truly remarkable part is the children we've helped since 2009 - 43 neglected, abused, needy or abandoned children. And with the completion of our Gated Community we will be able to help even more. Most are still with us, but many were reunited with their families after their lives were put back in order. And we help there to by directing the parents to counseling, jobs training, and local help to set them on the right path. But even if they stay with us, we teach the children they are loved and were created for a purpose.

Need help?
