Causes: Centers to Support the Independence of Specific Populations, Human Services
Mission: My Sister My Friend Breast Cancer Support is committed to increasing local and national attention to the devastating impact breast cancer has on the African American community.
Target demographics: Under-served and marginalized communities of color breast cancer survivors, patients treating for, caregivers and families. And to assist vulnerable and lay populations with navigational screening assistance.
Direct beneficiaries per year: approximately 100 women and/or families seeking assistance
Geographic areas served: Throughout Los Angeles County
Programs: emotional support (support groups), resources, and other programs (treatment transportation and financial support) and services.
