Mission: My Furry Valentine’s aims to significantly increase save rates and decrease the euthanasia of healthy animals in the Tri-State by helping to create the public mindset to "think adoption first" when looking for a new pet. We do this by hosting an annual mega-adoption, mobilizing the animal welfare community in a collaborative effort to promote the benefits of adoption, educating the general public about the plight of homeless animals and abundance of animal adoption resources, and providing a platform for bringing together homeless animals and potential adopters.
Target demographics: homeless animals and local shelters and rescue organization
Direct beneficiaries per year: more than 850 animals find homes on Valentine's Day weekend, bringing our six year adoption total close to 4,000!
Geographic areas served: Cincinnati, Ohio
Programs: The region's largest annual adoption event which has brings together animals in need of a loving home, with people willing to provide one.
