Nonprofit Overview
Mission: Our mission is to provide funding to new milford children who have financial need, so that they are able to participate in school related or after-school sports, arts, music and educational programs. We are a 100% volunteer non-profit organization and therefore 95% of the money we raise is awarded to New Milford families that are in financial need.
Results: Over 2,000 children have received financial help since 2004. And, have awarded over $400,000 is financial aid. MVPSOS has helped our youth for almost 16 years. We have also help fund almost 80 local organizations.
Target demographics: Financially assist as many New Milford children as possible, to create an equal playing field for all.
Direct beneficiaries per year: 57 children and 43 local organizations.
Geographic areas served: New Milford, CT and surrounding towns.
Programs: Assisting children by providing grants to numerous youth organizations in the town of New Milford.
