I am a volunteer at Mutual Ground as a yoga and meditation teacher. I have been doing this for almost 10 years. When I first contacted MG about teaching yoga, they welcomed me with open arms, intuitively knowing how yoga and meditation could help their clientele. MG works so hard in my community for DV and sexual assault victims, it is heartbreaking that they have to go begging for money. They do such great work!

The group leader with whom I work with for the Hispanic Women;s Support Group is totally supportive of what I have to offer her group. She would love to have more classes like I offer at MG, but there is no money for an expanded yoga therapy program. I only wish that they could get more money to have a weekly yoga class as right now I can only come once a month and that is not enough. The women themselves want yoga more than once a month. MG's strength is that they are open to new modalities to help their clientele, they can think outside the box.
