The communication and people skills of this organization are abysmal. I sent in an adoption application for one of their dogs. They phoned and reviewed my references, approved me for the adoption and posted online that the dog was adopted (presumably by me). I didn't hear anything from them. So I emailed them 2 days later and they replied that the dog had kennel cough and needed to get better first. They said it would be 2-3 weeks before I could meet him. Then a week later I checked in again and they said the dog had to be put on antibiotics and wouldn't be available "for a while". Then after hearing nothing from them for 2 weeks I emailed them concerning the health of my "future dog". They replied with only one sentence:
"He has returned to his former owner so he is no longer available through Must Love Dogs NW."
These things can happen, but why was I never informed? I had to initiate every email from them. They never volunteered information to me first. I felt that they disregarded any feelings I had of anticipation for my new dog. They currently have 6 dogs available, so I know that the excuse of being too busy to ever initiate a friendly email to me is not a good excuse.
