Mission: The muslim community network develops the capacity of muslim new yorkers and their allies to fully participate in the social and political landscape of new york city. It is in the process of changing its name from muslim consultative network.
Programs: Youth leadership development program - provides muslim youth with healthy and productive outlets for expression and public engagement. Muslim youth nyc (my nyc) and my nyc bridge build the next generation's identity and capacity as leaders by developing their skills in root cause analysis, public speaking, community organizing and conflict resolution.
civic engagement program - the civic action program is mcn's advocacy initiative. We partner with many organizations and public policy institutions to participate in coalitions, calls to action, and engagement in the public square to advocate for the civil rights and liberties of all new yorkers. Such partnerships include the muslim school holidays coalition, brennan center for justice, cuny clear, new york neighbors for american values, and more.
community education program - mcn offers monthly community education workshops that provide community members with the tools to create positive change, develop personal and professional skills to advance the quality of life of their families, and advocate for a more just society where the rights of all are respected and realized.
