I am Bella, from Sing with Bella YouTube Channel (www.youtube.com/singwithbella) I love to sing Nursery Rhymes and Kids' Songs. I have been greatly inspired by the Docent and Kids Choir programs offered by the nonprofit Music For Minors II since I was six. My docent mom taught me a lot of the singing and movement techniques. I take immense pride in sharing our distinctive musical expressions that deeply resonate with young hearts. Together with Music For Minors II, we are on a mission to nurture a deep love for music in children. Let's harmonize the world of diverse cultures, one song at a time!

When I moved from France to California, I found the opportunity of being trained to teach music in public schools.
As a docent with MFMII, I found connection, a caring community, a wonderful and respectful environment to thrive into. Yes, we bring music to the classrooms for a very low price, but it gives us back a much as what we give. Bringing music to the classrooms and finding purpose profoundly impacted me. MFMII will always be in my heart!

MFM II has been helping students and elders in the community by teaching music to the kids, giving them the opportunity to express themselves through music, and also bringing entertainment to elders in the community for 37 years now. In doing so, it has touched thousands of families.

I have been volunteering with this wonderful organization for the past 7 years. It has been one of the most gratifying experiences I have ever had. It opened up the path to a better understanding of the school system here, worked with class teachers closely, and got to know my kid's friends.
Their song collection is rich. Equipped with songs of a wide variety from musical theory, seasonal, multilingual, and fun to CA state curriculum-compatible songs, I enjoyed teaching them sign language, dance, and instruments. I have seen children's faces light up when we sing songs in their native languages like Spanish, Hindi, Mandarin, and Cantonese. And when I call them up to guide me in pronouncing the words correctly, I notice their self-confidence boost. The free training and the ongoing support from their staff throughout my time are worth mentioning. Thank you MFMII team for building this community that believes in children having music in their early ages.
