The Museum of Art-DeLand is a wonderful cultural gem. It's always a joy to visit and offers educational programs for all ages. It's exciting to visit both locations, allowing you a chance to see different areas of DeLand. The main gallery is adjacent to Stetson University and it's beautiful campus, and the second gallery is in historic Downtown DeLand. There are a lot of wonderful shops and restaurants in the blocks surrounding the downtown gallery, so it's definitely worth a trip.
For a city the size of DeLand, the Museum of Art - DeLand features world-renowned art that one would find in a major institution in a larger more metropolitan city. This ??? is a testament to the staff and their commitment to the high standards and quality of the art and artists they exhibit. The Museum is also extremely economical to visit at $5 for both locations (or $10 for special exhibitions) in an area that is known for pricy attractions. As a nonprofit, it is well worth your donation. Your gift will be used to continue the exhibition of fine art and outreach to DeLand and the surrounding areas. The Museum of Art's mission to provide fine art and increase the quality of life in our community is a job well done.

Along with the Athens Theater, this First Class Museum anchors the Cultural Scene in West Volusia County, which includes an annual Sculpture Walk, a Historical Mural Walk, an annual Artists Studio Tour and an Art-Wrapped Utility Box Tour. In its two locations, The Museum features world class exhibitions of exceptional art and artists. 2018 will bring us a block buster exhibition of M.C. Escher!

I moved to DeLand with some trepidation, concerned that it would lack resources for and interest in the arts. How wrong I was. The town is vibrant and filled with galleries and studios. The beating heart of this culture is the Museum of Art. Staffed with hard working professionals the MoAD routinely stages shows that Atlanta or Boston would be lucky to get. There is an overwhelming commitment to the community in the form of talks, children's programs and public exhibitions. With two buildings, one located in the heart of Stetson's campus and the other right in the center of DeLand's high street, the museum touches everyone. It is a beacon of art, culture and community. I urge everyone - residents and visitors- to let it touch you too!

This organization makes it possible for kids and adults from all kinds of backgrounds are exposed to art. Art is what makes our small town exceptional. It's what brings other creative people to DeLand and creates a unique and thriving downtown when many small town downtowns are lost to malls and urban sprawl. The Museum of Art DeLand delivers exceptional exhibits year after year, works with schools and early learning centers, and offers an impressive array of classes and experiences. The staff is remarkable.
What a jewel ! This Deland Museum brings top quality artists and shows to both its locations.
It is worth a trip or stop if you are traveling in Florida. The shows in this museum rival those available in New York City, Miami and other large cities. George Bolge, museum director is a fabulous curator and presents great, well hung shows. Another plus is the size of this museum. The museum has two locations which are both small enough to enjoy without having to devote an entire day thus allowing visitors time for other area visits.
