Causes: Arts & Culture, Performing Arts
Mission: MUSE/IQUE pioneers new musical experiences for people by creating educative live music events and outreach programs, all aimed at inspiring the creative spirit, engaging the community imagination and fostering new generations of music lovers.
Target demographics: bring live music to all.
Direct beneficiaries per year: 894 children attended and 30 classes 10 performances for Free in the 2012/13 season; 5,459 patrons attended one of our concerts, and 95 volunteers put in about 475 hours to support the Summer of Sound 2013.
Geographic areas served: Pasadena, CA
Programs: KIDS/IQUE!, our musical immersion for Foster and At-Risk Youth; The Uncorked Series, our season of educative concerts in improvised venues across our region; The Summer of Sound, our festival of incredible music on the campus of Caltech; and FREE FOR ALL, a fun-filled dance party/concert in the heart of Pasadena.
