Mission: The multicultural counseling and research center (mcrc) is dedicated to improving the healthand well-bing of individuals through education, counseling, research and advocacy. The center serves individuals of all religious backgrounds, races, and ethnicities.
Programs: Provided counseling to detainees in the st louis county juvenile detention center during all 12 months of the fiscal year. Paid for this service at a reduced rate of $28 per hour verses medicaid reimbursement rates of $60 per hour. The center conducted screenings, individual and group counseling sessions for approximately 350 adolescents housed in the detention center.
provided fee counsleing for a nominal fee to 29 cleints who consised of children, adolescents and adults. This was done in community settings, clients homes and our offices
provided an 8 week group counseling program for international students who were having difficulties adaptint to the american culture. Additionally the center provided fress esl tutoring servised to 8 adults for a 24 week session. The center also has 17 children that are provided tutoring services at no cost.
provide probono counseling services to 15 clients and provide internship and practicum students practical experience under the direction of a licensed therapist at no cost.
