Causes: Brain Disorders, Brain Disorders Research, Health, Mental Health, Mental Health Disorders

Mission: The primary activity will be to use resources available to the Foundation to provide access to therapeutic activities for people with Mental Health related disabilities. No family will be refused assistance. The Foundation will provide financial and social assistance to people with Mental Health related disabilities and their families. The Foundation will help guide families through the process of requesting assistance from Federal, State, and Local agencies. No family or person will be refused assistance. The Muldowney Foundation in conjunction with the Silver Ribbon Coalition gathered over 60,000 letters to the Postmaster General asking for a Silver Ribbon Postage stamp for Mental Health Awareness. In Oct. 2003 and again in Sept 2004, members The Muldowney Foundation met with various Government leaders to promote Mental Health parity and awareness. (See www.silverribbon.org for more info) The Muldowney Foundation is working with the State of Illinois for the issuance of a Silver Ribbon license plate. Proceeds from the license plate will be directed towards Mental Health research. The Muldowney Foundation is working with Private organizations to bring adequate housing to Illinois for Brain Injured persons. The Foundation will continue to work with other Mental Health agencies to promote parity for persons with mental disabilities.
