I can say, by first had experience, that Mtelo Ministries has changed the lives of countless people. They gave me the opportunity to travel to Kenya and oversee one of their projects. Their I visited a church that they built in a village near the city of Kisumu. Also, I visited an orphanage in Nairobi. Mtelo Ministrie's dedication to improving and supporting the people of Africa is a very humble cause. I look forward to continuing working with them in the future and helping the people of Africa.
Mtelo Ministries maintains a great cause backed by a team of dedicated members/officers that truly believe and live by their mission statement. The success through the passion of the organization truly shines as they continue to do good in the African communities. Their mission is very inspiring.
I have been associated with Mtelo Ministries for several years as a friend and as a donor. They have been very forthright and honest. They sponsored my school/day orphanage in Kenya for three years. This was a school/day orphanage shared by myself and a Kenyan Pastor. During the three years Mtelo expedited funds to the school in Kenya in a timely manor and followed through with heartfelt personal interest. They were also great advisor's during difficult times and issues with the school involving decision making. This was a great plus. Mtelo takes a personal interest in the projects they sponsor.
I have been a friend of the founders of Mtelo for 15 years and have seen their passion for the country of Africa. They are active in meeting physical and spiritual needs in central/eastern Africa through food distribution, water purification, and church support. This non-profit is passionately involved in the lives of people in need. Mtelo truly has its finger on the pulse of this region of Africa.
Without the support of Mtelo Ministries we would not have been able to drill a water well at the Tikeet Clinic located in a remote part of West Pokot, Kenya. The well will provide for the water needs of the clinic, as well as drinking water for surrounding communities. The clinic, which is not yet fully up and running, will support a catchment of 7,000 people. On completion, in addition to outpatient support, it will provide an in-patient service aimed at maternal, malaria, and possibly kala-azar patients, who would otherwise have to travel 30km by foot to the nearest health centre. We, as the implementers of the project, and on behalf of the community of Pokot would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for the support that Mtelo Ministries have shown us. Mama Hidat Roden
I have been impressed with Mtelo Ministries as a non-profit which is effective in identifying specific needs in Africa which are strategic in nature, and which can realistically be met. Mtelo Ministries employs sound decision-making in choosing projects they can effectively partner with. All their work is carried out with the highest level of integrity. Mtelo's experience in Africa enbles them to partner with local workers with cultural understanding and sensitivity, yet setting clear expectations and accountability for use of funds.
In 2011, I was fortunate enough to travel to Kenya as a volunteer with Mtelo Ministries and had the experience of a lifetime. We visited the orphanage in Nakuru, as well as the hospital in Tikeet where Mtelo's contribution is helping implement running in the hospital. Donations and services from Mtelo are making a huge impact on the men, women and children in eastern and central Africa and I highly recommend being involved.
Mtelo Ministries is focus on helping locals become more productive and self-efficient through their different endeavors. This Mtelo's support and collaboration with FATEB/BEST seminary in Bangui, CAR also reinforces the above statement. I personally know John and Marlyn who have visited Bangui on several accounts as they pursue God's calling in answering to needs present in Central African Republic.
