The Mr. Mo Project has not only changed my life, but allowed me to be involved in and witness the life changing events for both my two and two other dogs. Saint and Jill would not be alive today if not for the project. Not only are they both seniors, but they also both suffer from expensive and life long medical conditions that deemed them unadoptable. Saint makes me laugh every day. He is my best friend. Not only is he my best friend, but he is the soul mate of one of my other dogs. All of our lives are better because he is part of it. As a volunteer and foster parents for the dogs in the project, I can tell you first hand that the financial accountability of the project is top notch. Every penny and then some goes to care for the 83+ living dogs in the project. The project founders are never more than a phone call or text away and have been available to me (1450+ miles away) at 2am or 2pm whenever I need them. One of the main reasons I got involved in this animal organization over others is because the transparency and accountability to the donors is evident. I am so incredibly thankful for the color and sparkle that the project and it's donors have given to my life.

I have been supporting the Mr. Mo Project for several years because I believe in Chris and Mariesa's vision to provide veterinary care and love to senior dogs that would otherwise be neglected or forgotten. The sacrifices they make and the dedication to this project are apparent in everything they do and say. I am proud to be a supporter of this amazing rescue.

This couple and the volunteers and fans have made such a difference in my life as well as every dog it touches. I have always been an animal love but now I’m active in rescue and regularly donate when I can’t foster. I owe it all to two dogs named Gremlin and Moses and a saying, in the end they were loved ❤️❤️

I have been blessed to actually be part of the Mr Mo Project family since June 2014.I opened my home and my heart to Sweet Betty a senior sweetheart(AT LEAST 10 YEARS OLD).Betty was a stray that had been abused, her teeth filed down, her back legs broken so she could be bred over and over.Clay County Florida contacted the Mr Mo Project and transported her to me.I got to love her for 16 months. The project made it easy all I had to do was love her. They paid all her vet bills.Shortly after Sweet Betty passed.Angie came into my life a senior stray in New Orleans with ear infections that threatened her life. The project again stepped in paid for surgery to remove those deadly infected ears. That surgery assured her of the BEST OF THE REST.She joined me on December 26 2015 and still makes my life better.Chris and Mariesa Hughes that run the project are truly the most unselfish loving people. They put the program dogs FIRST.The project is about senior dogs and providing them with love and care for their "golden years".Imagine being old and being dumped on the street or turned in at a shelter just because you were old and your family did not want you. That is why the Mr Mo Project is here. That an because and incredible senior rescue dog Moses left a legacy of love.

Compassion, tenacity, and love are what makes The Mr Mo Project special.
Compassion comes when a shelter calls the program to tell them of a senior dog in need.Senior dogs are most often abandonded or dumped at shelters.Due to their age they often have health problems that render them unadoptable and often they are euthanized quickly. The Mr Mo Project steps in with the intention of giving the senior "the best of the rest".This means the senior's vet bills will be paid for the rest of their lives.
Tenacity kicks in when the project works hard to find the perfect forever foster home for the senior. Many many calls, checks, and conversations take place before a senior is placed.
Above all love makes this all work. From the amazing capacity for love that Chris and Mariesa Hughes have for all the seniors in the program to the wonderful forever fosters these seniors are so very lucky. You should know that I am a two time forever foster. My first senior girl was with us 16 months.Betty came from FloridaShe was a 14 year old dog that had been abused. She settled in and loved us without question once she knew we would protect her.Our second and present Angie is 13.She came to us from New Orleans in 2015.She had been neglected. Her ears had to be surgically removed due to years of infection. The Mr Mo Project paid for the surgery and on December 26th our "earless wonder"came home.Remember I said love was part of this?Forever fosters have the easy job we get to love these incredible creatures for the rest of their lives.Chris and Mariesa do all the hard work to insure the "BEST OF THE REST".

I cannot say enough amazing things about the Mr. Mo Project. My husband and I were lucky enough to foster Project dog Jewels who was pulled from a shelter in North Carolina at the age of 13. The Mr. Mo Project was always so responsive and helpful when she needed any medical care. They are this way for all of the dogs in the Project and do so much good for senior dogs in need!

I have never bet a part of any other organization with so much love, compassion, caring and heart! To witness firsthand what The Mr. Mo Project has done is heartwarming and nothing less than extraordinarily! I have personally seen the transformation of an unwanted, sick, abandoned shelter dog into a healthy, happy wanted and loved Mr. Mo Project forever foster dog! It is amazing what love, caring and much needed, but previously neglected, medical attention can do for these wonderful dogs. I have been a part of many, many fundraising events which take a lot of time, effort and work but are truly a labor of love because you know the money raised is going to such a worthy organization. The founders of the Mr. Mo Project are wonderful, selfless, loving people who put the needs of their foster parents and the dogs they foster above everything else. I am proud to be a member, contributor and worker for this fine rescue program.

The Mr. Mo Project is a wonderful organization that saves senior dogs and covers their medical expenses for the rest of their life! They have honored their own senior dog by keeping his legacy alive and saving senior dogs in his memory. Seniors have so much life and love to left to share, this group provides people with education and helps raise awareness about the plight of senior dogs in shelters.

I came to know the Mr Mo Project from a post on FB pleading to help Macy.. I was not able to afford the dog but it said that they would take care of the dog the rest of its life so how could I say no. Macy came to me on Easter 2015 and that was the day Macy saved me♡ my heart will never be the same and I will always take in a Mr Mo Dog❣

I'm SOOO in love with this organization and the people who run it. I give monthly on a recurring basis and know each and every penny donated goes towards the dogs. The Mr. Mo Project founders find the oldest and sickest senior dogs in jeopardy nationwide and help pay for their medical expenses. I appreciate them and what they do everyday for the 80+ dogs they currently care for... I highly recommend this well-established non-profit group!

We’re blessed to be a part of an organization that is so caring and willing to give their all just so the 80+ dogs in the Mr. Mo Project can experience the ‘best of the rest.’ Donations, and countless hours of dedication from Chris and Mariesa, are what make this Project possible. Since getting involved almost 3 years ago with our first Mr. Mo foster, we have forever fostered 3 amazing dogs and temporarily fostered 7 beautiful souls while they waited for their forever families.
The Mr. Mo Project gave us the ability to show Emily, a dog who lived her first 16 years outside with minimal care or love, how a dog should live. We were able to earn her trust and show her comfort and love for the last year of her life. In turn, Emily showed us her spunky side as she would run down the hallway for breakfast on her good days. Without a doubt, Emily would have succumbed to her pneumonia without the dedicated care she received under the Mr. Mo Project. Thanks to the Project, her last year of luxury made up for her first 16 years of neglect.
This past December we had the pleasure of loving Puddles, a 17 year old blind and deaf senior dumped by her family. We enjoyed 8 days with Puddles before she passed. Being with the Mr. Mo Project allowed Puddles the comfort of plush dog beds and top notch medical care in her final days. When it was her time, she left this earth in peace, surrounded by people who loved her and not in a cold room surrounded by strangers at a shelter.
This Project has allowed us to give a good life to Diamond, who continues to amaze us every day. She’s so accepting of the temporary dogs we bring into our home and always keeps us laughing with her mischief and silly personality. We’re thankful every day for the time we have had with her (going on 3 years!). She is a joy for us to have in our home, and without the Mr. Mo Project, the financial cost of an additional dog wouldn’t be an option.

As a foster for the Mr. Mo Project, I've seen first hand what these folks do to not only save the lives of senior dogs, but offer them a second chance at happiness for the rest of their days. From providing medical care to keeping in touch through social media, texts, and calls, the Mr. Mo Project is committed to their mission! Eddie, my wonderful senior foster, came to me through this wonderful organization!
