I received a horrible email response when I declined signing one of their campaigns. The staff EQ level appears to be around 13 years old. I unsubscribed from further email communications.
Do not give them money. They behave as dishonesty as any other PAC. That is not progressive!
I sent them a 1 time donation and now they are trying to autobill me monthly without my knowledge or permission.
So where are they located? I can't find an address. What kind of business hides their location?
An untrustworthy one
I like many individuals had monthly deductions taken from bank account without my explicit authorization. I have now been hold for 40 minutes waiting for the "next available representative" to help me. Very frustrated that an alleged progressive nonprofit would treat their contributors this way. One I get these charges stopped, I will not donate again and will block messages.
This site/organization appears to do good but in actuality they rob you. I made some very small one time donation during election season and they kept charging various amounts randomly and frequently, at one point taking put $100+ a month for 3 months.
And what's worse? There is no customer service info on the website and they keep sending texts no matter what.
This group should be investigated for fraud and theft.
I have been a member for several yeas, have donated multiple times and always feel secure that my money is going exactly where it is intended. I like the grassroots/member driven quality.
I signed up to donate $5 dollars to their cause once, and instead was charged $21.73 , and was set to do so every month continually. I did not permit this, and when going to their page to cancel the monthly charge, they directed me to a page where I had to log in with an existing MoveOn.org account. I did not make an account to donate, so I clicked "Never logged in before?" which brought me to a page where I could put in an email and set up and account. However, they did not ever send me anything. I Tried multiple times.
So , after giving up on that I called their donation support team and was left on hold incredibly long. Eventually I was answered and they cancelled my monthly reoccurring fee and were actually very helpful in cancelling. However it's still a bit ridiculous how unclear the donations page was. They should make it more clear that a "5 dollar" donation is actually 21.73 a month because it's 5 dollar weekly.
I have just recently realized that pretty much every important issue and campaign that gets people involved to fight corruption and stands up for every day working Americans is run by MoveOn. I really trust them and think that they are doing the right thing. I am donating through them all the time and very happy with the results.

I so appreciate all the hard work Moveon does from enlightening me about all the current candidates running for office in the mid term elections to sending me petitions to sign about issues and events I’m concerned about. I would never have the time to stay as informed on issues that I deeply believe in. I will continue to support them and appreciate all the research they do

Re: “writer’s” review of 3/2017:
You’re bank told you WRONG. The money in your account belongs to you, and you most certainly have the right to cancel an automatic deduction that you may have originally authorized but no longer do! It’s the sad truth that many of the people you reach with such questions are utterly clueless though. I could tell you some stories...
If it were me, I’d call them and ask for supervisor after supervisor until I got to a level that has a clue. I’ve done it before, and been apologized to for the misinformation I was first given.
If you don’t want to hassle with that you still have options. You can change banks, something I’d certainly be tempted to do. Or if you have other reasons to stay with your bank, simply go in, close the account in question, and open a new one at the same place. With many banks you can do this over the phone even, as I did once when a stolen check had been processed through my account.

I joined Move On org Civic Action months ago, thinking I was joining Move On.org.
They are 2 separate organizations. When I contacted MoveOn.org to stop my automatic monthly donations, I learned they had no record of my membership and it was then that I learned I had mistakenly joined MoveOnOrg Civic Action. I can not enter their web site because I don't seem to have the correct password. I've been unable to find their phone number After reading other member experiences, I hope I receive a response to my written request to discontinue my monthly donation. My bank says they can not cancel this donation. It needs to be done by the organization, itself.
MOVEON PRAYS ON DONORS, UNWILLING TO HELP WITH DONATION ASSISTANCE AND NO WAY TO CONTACT THEM WITH REASONABLE RESPONSE. SHAME ON DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS JOSSH WOLFF AND THE REST OF YOU GUYS.
A moveon rep came to my door and i donated on a $20/month schedule, after about 6months i decided to cancel. In short, there was absolutely no phone numbers to find to contact them, no way for me to do it online by myself, and it took about 3 emails to finally get someone to respond. Upon them responding, I explained the situation again, and never heard from them again. Recently, their DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS JOSH WOLF responded to me saying he doesn't recognize my email. I sent him screenshots of my bank account debits, along with 1 or 2 other possible emails to try, and that was now about 3 weeks ago. Still no contact back to help me. This has now accumulated into about $80 of unwanted charges. Finally today I just paid $30 to have the check stopped. I was trying to be patient and have them cancel, but shame on me, i should have known better. I'll be putting the word out on them. They are breaking up the fabric of trust donors like myself put in charities, and that's a real shame.
When questioning some MOVEON charges that appeared on my checking account, I telephoned MOVEON repeatedly over the course of a week. As I was only ever able to reach a recording, I left messages with each call. I have not heard back from them, not even an email acknowledging their receipt of my inquiry. I've now asked my bank to reverse the charges. So I rate MOVEON as a 1.

We have donated money through MoveOn since it was formed. We trust them to do what they say they will do, and they have helped the people of this country more than any Democratic Committee. The people in this country need all the help we can get. When even a "liberal" president and Senate can't remember us, at least MoveOn does and tries to tackle as many issues as possible. We have been asked by numerous groups to donate money to stop the insane move to take money away from Social Security. The only group we have donated to is MoveOn - we believe it is as effective as any group and more trustworthy than most.
I have been associated with this org as a member for several years now and they have consistently disappointed me. I hung on for a long time thinking things would get better but they will never be more than another rich peoples advocacy group, not the grassroots org they claim to be. Very disgusted-finlly leaving.

The only lying going on here is by YOU, Saul. First of all, MoveOn.org has never claimed to be funded solely by their members. Second, every SINGLE penny that George Soros donates is open to the public, totally transparent, with NO hidden agenda. He supports progressive policy, period. And he NEVER EVER hides ANYTHING he does, unlike the Rethug sociopaths you probably like. MoveOn is a FANTASTIC organization who tells THE TRUTH to the American people. But apparently YOU can't handle the truth.
