Mission: To facilitate quality improvement of emergency medical care in northeastern new york; provide administrative and staff support to the regional emergency medical advisory committee; provide pre-hospital education programs; and to engage in such other activities to support and facilitate emergency care as determined by the regional ems council or the new york department of health.
Programs: Supervised and credentialed ems providers in the five-county region of clinton, essex, franklin, warren and washington. Received and checked the completeness of over 30,000 pre-hospital care reports (pcrs). Monitored compliance with quality improvement regulations. Coordinated cooperation between the regional emergency medical services council (remsco) and the regional emergency medical advisory committee (remac). Provided administrative support to the remsco. Coordinated cooperation of remacs to provide quality patient care over regional borders. Coordinated medical control in compliance with current standards. The corporation is an approved course sponsor under an agreement with the state of new york department of health to provide training in state-approved ems courses and other courses or continuing medical education (cme) designed to educate both volunteer and career ems providers. The courses are taught throughout the five-county region of clinton, essex, franklin, warren and washington by paid instructors.
