Mission: The Community Action Coalition, formed in 2000, is a non-profit alliance that fosters a community that empowers youth, families, and citizens to make effective decisions and lead healthy, successful lifestyles. The Coalition first partnered with the local school district as advisors for the Safe and Drug-free Schools program. It has evolved into a community wide initiative to increase assets for youth. We are seeking to bring service providers together and create a long-term strategic plan with a central location to inform the public about the services available in our community.We are targeting the large number of people living in poverty in our community, especially the Hispanic population.
