Emergency departmentmount nittany medical center operates an emergency room 24 hours a day, 365 days a year providing services to all members of the community regardless of their ability to pay and denied zero patients requesting such services. The emergency room does not have a trauma center certification. Medical staff privilegesall qualified physicians in the community are eligible for medical staff privileges at mount nittany medical center and all qualified physician applications have been accepted for medical staff privileges. More than 300 physicians in 42 specialties and subspecialties are credentialed at mount nittany medical center. Professional medical education and trainingmount nittany medical center conducts professional medical education and training programs for the benefit of the community with a resulting financial loss to the medical center.
