Mission: To enrich the lives of people in our Southern California entertainment community by continuously evolving to meet their health and human services needs. We are dedicated to offering programs and charitable services which are provided with compassion and respect for the dignity of the whole person.
Target demographics: The Motion Picture & Television Fund charity serves the Southern California entertainment community.
Programs: Mptf provides inpatient medical services at its 250-bed facility located on the wasserman campus in woodland hills. Services include acute, skilled nursing and alzheimers care, radiology, laboratory, physical therapy, pharmacy and respiratory therapy services. 2014 service volumes included 24,800 total patient days.
mptf provided outpatient medical services at its six health centers located throughout the greater los angeles area. Services included primary medical care, outpatient surgery, radiology, laboratory, physical therapy and pharmacy services. Effective june 1, 2014, ownership and operational management of the health centers transferred to ucla health. For the first five months of 2014, service volumes included 61,500 outpatient health center visits and 900 outpatient surgeries.
mptf provides various programs and charitable services including a 166 unit retirement community, residential subsidies, temporary financial assistance based on need, social services, child care and various wellness and education programs. 2014 service volumes included 55,000 residential days.
