Causes: Chambers of Commerce & Business Leagues
Mission: Mothers & more is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of mothers through support education and advocacy. We address mothers needs as individuals and members of society and promote the value of all the work mothers do.
Programs: Local chapter activities - local chapters provide support, educational and consciousness-raising activities to the organizatios of over 2300 members. All chapters provide monthly gatherings with topical discoussions and occasional guest speakers. Optional chapter services include playgroups, moms' night out activities, book clubs, community outreach activities and more. E-mail loop services and facebook pages are maintained or sharing of information and resources for chapter programming, social activities, marketing, public relations, development and finance. A volunteer staff of mentors administers and coordinates the organizations's network of local chapters. Comprehensive materials and one-on-one support are given to chapter leaders to foster growth of chapters in their start-up phase and to monitor and assist existing chapters. E-mail loop services and a leader specific fb page are provided and maintained for sharing of information and resources for overall chapter leadership and for leaders of new chapters.
