Mission: The purpose of the corporation shall be maintaining of homes, hospitals, refuges, and agencies for sheltering, healing, and caring for homeless, sick and injured small animals, arranging for suitable adoptive homes for such animals, encouraging reduction in the population of unwanted and suffering animals, and other activities deemed necessary.
I’ve been volunteering with Morris Animal Refuge for 15 months. Morris currently operates with a 98% save rate and finds forever homes for approximately 1,200 homeless pets a year. Morris also looks to make a positive impact beyond the four corners of its shelter, with programs like our Community Cat Program (spaying and neutering & providing medical care for Feral Cats to keep them healthy and stem overpopulation) and Free Vaccination Clinics (helping our underserved community members). The staff is very caring and competent. The animals get excellent medical care and lots of love and attention from the staff and the many volunteers who donate their time there. I couldn’t be more proud to be associated with this wonderful organization.
