Mission: Mission supports the conservation, preservation, expansion and rehabilitation of the tropical ecosystems of the costa rican based organization, monteverde conservation league (mcl) and its forest reserve, the children's eternal rainforest.
Programs: The friends of the childrens eternal rainforest and monteverde conservation league in costa rica work together to ensure that the 55,000 acres of pristine forest in the tilaran mountains is sustained and protected forever. Additionally, through mcl and its collaborative efforts with six other conservation organizations, mclus supports the development of the bellbird biological corridor, and a regional plan to reforest parts of the pacific slope to link remaining patches of forest. This includes providing computers, eco-tours, environmental education, exhibits and materials, funds for land purchase, trail maintenance and forest protection activities of the children's eternal rainforest, managed by the monteverde conservation league in costa rica.
