Mission: Supporting the development of the whole child through ami accredited academics, music, arts, and physical education as well as a unique equestrian program.

Programs: Classroom programs: butler montessori is a school which embodies the educational principles established by dr. Maria montessori. The school,serving children ages eighteen months through eighth grade,provides an experiential and interdisciplinary approach to thestudy of: biology, geography, physics & other sciences;mathematics & geometry; history; language; art; and music. Themontessori classroom and curriculum are designed to meet thespecific needs of each developmental stage. Organized in mixed agegroupings, students are provided the opportunity to engage inpurposeful and meaningful activities under the direction of amontessori-certified teacher.

out-of-doors education: camp & horseback summer camp is offeredfor children ages 3 1/2 to 14. A variety of activities are offeredto campers. Equestrian activities: activities range from introduction ofhorseback riding, pleasure riding, dressage, equitation andeventing.

auxiliary/kaleidoscope activities: extended-day is available toprimary and elementary students who need additional care duringnon-school hours. It is intended for children who need consistentcare for the entire school year, not as a drop-in service. Beforeand after school drop-in is designed to provide occasional orshort-term care for children before school and followingdismissal. Kaleidoscope can provide convenience for parents andenrichment for our students while also alleviating some of thehustle and bustle from family life by incorporating after schoolactivities into the school environment. Activities vary throughoutthe school year. Kaleidoscope activities include: art, basketball,chess club, book club, karate, mountain biking, parent fitness, soccer and yoga.
