Mission: Monterey county land watch works to build better communities by promoting and inspiring sound land use legislation at the city, county and regional levels, through grassroots and community action.
Programs: In 2014, landwatch continued to grow its membership while maintaining close connections with our founding members and core supporters. We continued our mission of reviewing and commenting on land-use projects' environmental documents. This is revealed through our involvement in opposing, along with the community, the ferrini ranch project in salinas. Lnadwatch's work is also effective as seen in our support of the pebble beach company affordable housing project in pebble beach. We continue to keep the public informed about potential projects in monterey county, and we help and promote opportunities for the public to engage with this process.
