This is truly a remarkable organization and a gift to Bozeman and Montana. MTREP is nimble and can respond to social justice issues readily (such as when white supremacist/nazi flyers were distributed in Bozeman) but they also host trainings, seminars and a book club for ongoing education on race and social justice. In other words, they are great with both quick responses and on-going investment. I can't say enough about this group. MTREP has helped me and my understanding of race and privilege more in the one year (that I've known about them) than all of the years of my life added together. This is absolutely true! They are very effective and mind-opening. Executive Director Judith Heilman, a brilliant, engaged and candid person, was recently honored as the recipient of the 2017 Jeannette Rankin Award by the ACLU. This is a great organization and well worth investment!
