Mission: The moga education institute is the national leader in providing educational and charitable therapeutic experiences related to montana's outdoor heritage, and the critical role outfitters play in wildlife management, economic development, and land stewardship.
Programs: In 2014 moga big hearts under the big sky (bhubs) program provided 9 adventure/trips to our partners. One was granted to catch-a-dream foundation, two to the wounded warrior project, one to casting for recovery (served 25 people), one to hunt of a lifetime, one to nra, two were done independently and one to grateful nation. In so doing we were able to fully meet the requests of all of our national partners. These adventure/trips served 56 people and totaled $59,384 in donated retail value. Bhubs paid out $27,646 to participating outfitters to cover 47% of their costs. Since 2008, bhubs has served 48 families/groups totaling 320 people, involving 24 outfitter businesses and accounting for $324,132 in dontated adventuresin 2015 we expect the demand for the program to grow substantially as we work to serve the needs of our national partners. The growth will be particularly evident in the service of military veterans and their familes.
